Let’s get in touch

My name is Amy Alderman. As a young girl, it was my dream to become a journalist. I watched the nightly news probably as much or more than I watched She-Ra.

Eventually, that dream came true and I had the privilege of working in the news business for 10 years, when I met many kinds of people in many situations. No two days were the same. I have also worked as a communicator, speech writer and media advisor for the last decade.

Wherever my paths lead, I’d like to think I’m an eyes wide open kind of gal, often in a state of amazement, which drives me to feverishly write passages of gratitude.

These moments often come from unexpected places and times, such as wandering down Navy Pier into a Holi festival, while wiping beer stains off a cabinet in an Irish Pub, or after dashing to catch a train.

Share your stories
I’d also like to learn about and share your stories and photos. My hope is this eventually becomes a place for passages from many walks of life.

Giving back
In addition, Passages of Gratitude is a home for giving back. Learn more on the Give page.

There’s no denying it, 2020 and already 2021 have led us through some challenging times. My hope is this is a place not to forget our challenges, but to appreciate the lessons we learn from our great adventures and everyday experiences.

If you would like to share your story, photos or have questions, email me at amyalderman@passagesofgratitude.com.

In the meantime, enjoy!

Passages of Gratitude, 2021
